Water

Water

At work I have recently been using just a garden hose to fill up my 250 litre IBC tote in the back of my half tonne truck. Previously I had been using a well in a shack next to the town office but it stopped working. At first we thought it was one of the fuses (which look like a solid long copper tube with flat ends and a piece of metal poking out each end), but after getting a mechanic to come take a look we learned that they were all in good working order. At this point we were thinking it was something to do with the well, or the wiring to the well. Today I was given a code for another form of water distribution. It is in the same area as the old well but access is locked behind a system that allows you to choose the amount of water given and is very much faster. To water town it takes about 200 litres of water. Filling up with the garden hose took fifteen to twenty minutes to get 200 litres, with the new system I have access to, it only takes 3-5 minutes. Due to the large amount of pressure coming out of the water system I think it would be better for me to add my water soluble nutrients before filling so that the water spraying in creates an agitation in the tote and it mixes better. Excited to be back in the fall and start learning in person again!
